Leaving Satanism with Riaan Swiegelaar

What does it take to walk away from twenty years in the occult, including years spent as co-founder of South Africa's Satanic Church? For Riaan Swiegelaar, it took a two minute encounter that changed everything.

Riaan grew up in a Christian home but grew disillusioned by what he saw behind the scenes of church culture. His search for something deeper led him through Hare Krishna temples, Islam, meditation, yoga, Reiki, and crystal healing before pulling him into Satanism, where he spent years immersed in rituals and spiritual practices he now calls deeply destructive. Then one night in May of 2022, while preparing for a ritual, a light filled the room and Jesus appeared to him. That moment led to repentance, deliverance, and a completely new life. Today Riaan runs a deliverance ministry, helping others recognize the small compromises that open the door to spiritual bondage and pointing them back to freedom in Christ.
